June 28, 1958 – April 29, 2018

Marianne passed away Sunday, April 29, peacefully in her sleep, with her children and niece at her side, as she joined her mother, father, sister and countless other friends. Marianne is survived by her children, Jaimie (Colin) Ethier, Mandy (Greg) Ethier and Jon Ethier; her grandchildren, Mason (Dani) Konopacki, Brayden and Ford Mindus; her siblings, Sigrun (Bob) Jones, Fred (Trudy) Arbter, Will (Angela) Arbter; her favourite kitty, Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, countless friends and friends that were like family. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo & Hermine (nee Wimmeder) Arbter; and sister, Inge Jacobson.

Marianne was born in Lamont, AB and is the youngest of 5 children.  She spent her life working as a Paralegal in Edmonton, and surrounding area.  In recent years she took an opportunity to work in British Columbia, where she spent time with Mandy, Greg and Family.  Upon her return to Alberta she spent time with her family, friends, and working on various crochet projects.

Marianne acknowledged each person who visited and sent messages to her via text or family visitor with ‘Hi There.’ She was surrounded by so much love, admiration, respect, support, strength, humor, laughter and pride.

The family would like to offer their many thanks and appreciation to the nurses and Doctors at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, that were a part of Marianne’s care team.  Their kindness, professionalism and caring made it easy to support Marianne and her end of life hopes and goals!
